Matthew Grier came from a home full of laughter celebrations and good times. His mother, who loved to entertain guests, would ask Matthew to spin the latest tunes on their record player whenever she had the girls over. Matthew’s father is an electrician. He would often have many different electrical items in his basement for repair. Matthew would go into his father’s workshop and “borrow” fuses and different parts in order to create and repair musical items of his own. Before he knew it, he had created his own arsenal of musical weapons to produce beats, make mixtapes, and lay tracks. Uniondale Public Schools were simply not ready for Matthew Grier. He was inquisitive, artistic and doused in intelligence. His reputation preceded him and was quickly named Infamous. Matthew accepted the name but as he grew older he realized the negative connotation that it carried. He then combined “Infamous” with “Matt” and came up with the name “Infmatick.” After Infmatick’s graduation he attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where he studied Graphic Design. He never lost his love or passion for his music, however his artistic abilities far exceeded most. He took some classes in music as well and realized that music is what he was. Matthew returned to New York after his studies to warm welcomes from his Long Island and New York City families. Their first question was “Are you still dealing with music?” The response is obvious. DJ Infmatick is able to touch all generations through precise selection of song, intricate mixes, and unfounded scratches with an innate knowledge on how to move the crowd. From backyards to corporate venues, from school functions to radio stations… He is a highly rated DJ with love and passion for the business. He has been featured on 99.3 Fiyah radio, Beats, Rhymes and Life Radio, and has made a guest appearance more recently on 516radio.com. He enables new artists to get ample radio play time as well as conduct interviews. His interview with Mac Boney of Grand Hustle proved that DJ Infmatick reaches outside of the New York City Limits down into the “Durty Durty” (South) where hard core hip hop breeds.By no means is DJ Infmatick new to this game. Follow him on Twitter, Facebook, Ustream, Blogtv or at Infmatick.com when you’re ready to entertain your mind.
